We believe in communication “with” people, in capacity building and in C4D strategies.

We, as transcultural designers, photographers and film makers, are aware that it is not only the tools themselves that create good communication, but rather a rich and theoretically informed understanding of the individual, social and cultural contexts in which media and communications interventions occur. Most of all it is an understanding of the needs and behaviour of the user which guides us how to design the right tools. Design for C4D, Communication for Development, is part science, part craft and part design, its multidisciplinary nature draws on aspects of anthropology, sociology, psychology and the behavioural sciences, and its implementation depends on creativity, storytelling and an understanding of good communication design.

Sabina von Kessel has 30 years of international experience in the design of visual communication. She has worked as a consultant, photographer, designer and lecturer in India, Europe and Africa.

Urmila Pullat is a lawyer and freelance writer from India. She is currently running the India desk for the Hong-Kong based regional human rights organisation, the Asian Human Rights Commission. She holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Oxford and is extremely passionate about justice, rule of law and human rights.  For 3 years, she wrote a monthly column reviewing world movies of human and social interest, for a South Indian magazine.

She regularly writes on issues of criminal justice and human rights and is the founder of the website project, How Revealing.

Veecheet Dhakal is a Filmmaker and cinematographer |Producer| Post-Production| Violinist | A filmmaker by passion and training, Veecheet has produced many short films, documentaries and commercials for a variety of clients , ranging from art House Documentaries to adventure sports and community and character based films. He is currently the Founder and Director of Firiri Films, based in Bangalore, and is also working on an independent production based in the River Teesta, in Kalimpong and Sikkim. Through Firiri Films, Veecheet has gained considerable experience in the production and management of video teams through various projects.

Jagadish Singh is a freelance Film Director, Editor, Photographer and a DSLR cinematographer from Bangalore. He is a strong media and communication professional,skilled in Advertising, Film, Event Management, Video Editing, Video Production and Audio Production.
